Memes are fun! This one is hosted by Should Be Reading, and this is my first contribution. 🙂
What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m currently reading:
The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson
This is book 3 of Sanderson’s Mistborn Trilogy. I discovered Brandon’s work just this year, but he is already one of my favorite fantasy authors. There’s just something about his writing style that engages me. He writes long books, but I only notice it after I read the last word and look down at the page number. The Hero of Ages is okay so far. We’ve already had one action-packed Allomantic fight, so…yeah, we’re definitely off to a good start!
I recently finished reading:
Clarity by Kim Harrington
I did not expect to like this because the synopsis does not make it seem like an interesting story, but I turned out liking the simplicity of the plot and the premise. It’s nice to take a break from complicated stories once in a while. 😉 Clarity is a fast read, and I enjoyed it. I’m actually looking forward to the sequel to this one.
What’s next:
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
There’s a long weekend coming up, so this will likely be next in line. I finished watching the HBO series a few weeks ago, and I’m hooked! I can’t wait to get into the world as GRRM sees it.
Looks like a good group of books! Are you a new blogger? I started my blog in July so I’m pretty new as well.

This blog is new, but I’ve been writing about books elsewhere. 🙂 Thanks for dropping by!
The meme is fun, isn’t it! I have not heard of a single book on your list…until today 🙂 Happy reading!
Thanks for dropping by! 🙂
Hey, engaging and easy can be nice just as deep can be… all depends on your mood right? Thanks for the list of possible reads.

I agree! Thanks for dropping by! 🙂
Clarity sounds interesting. Game of Thrones is a long read. I started it but, (because it was a library limited book), I didn’t get to finish it. 😦 Now I have to wait for it again.

Re: Clarity– If you like a little bit of the paranormal in your mysteries, then you’ll like Clarity. I likened it to a No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency ran by a medium, a psychic, and a telepath, but on hindsight, it also kinda feels like a YA Sookie Stackhouse novel (the first few ones,) but without the supernatural creatures. 🙂
Re: Game of Thrones– Oh yes, it looks like it’s gonna take me a while to get through it. Unless I gravitate towards GRRM’s style (I haven;t read anything of his yet, so I”m not sure how I’ll react,) in which case, I’ll probably go through it faster. I hope you get your turn with it again soon!
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Welcome. All your books are “new to me books”. Enjoy and Happy reading!!
Thank you, Cheryl! It sounds like your current read is fun, too. 🙂
So what’s verdict on Clarity?
It’s an easy read. Not stellar, but I personally thought it was engaging. 🙂
I recently put Clarity on my TBR stack. 🙂 Glad to hear it’s good.
My Wednesday & Caressed by Moonlight GIVEAWAY
I liked the idea behind Clarity. I’m not sure if everyone will appreciate it, but it’s an easy enough read. Looks like it’s going to turn out to be something like a Ladies No. 1 Detective Agency, but run by a family with paranormal abilities. 😉
